The worst experience I have ever had. From 1 hr late to start the trip. Every event had a line of 20 minutes or more. The concert was 2 hours away from the hotel. Then we left late missed the first two acts. (Howard Hewlett and Freddie Jackson). It's day 3 and we are last to go to the casino... The Food was not good not good at all. Made my wife sick..Went to the casino and the hotel locked us out of room... Would have given lest then 1 star but I couldn't write the review.
I have been working with Eastern Light for about 3 4 years and its ALWAYS a great experience!. Started working with Candice and now I have been working with Amy L who is SUPER DOPE! Communication is great never have any problems! Eastern Light Getaways thank you for always making sure me and my group feel warm and welcome & also have a great time!. see you guys again for Winter the ski trip!
Eastern Light Getaways is now known as Soul Nation Events from what I gather. We took the DC trip to the new African American Museum. My complaint is not with the trip itself even though the food provided was lousy and our bus was a bit cramped. My real complaint it with our bus driver, Shawn. Our trip started on Saturday, June 17th. We loaded into the bus with no help from our bus driver. Isn't he supposed to help load the bags into the luggage compartment? He did not. Going to Washington the music was loud and he was asked several times to lower the volume. He would lower it only to turn it back up to ear busting decibels minutes later.On the way back $80.00 was collected as a tip for Shawn and do you think he would then attempt to give satisfactory customer service? No such luck. On the ride home he was again asked several times to turn the music down and each time he turned it up louder. This trip was not filled with young folks looking to "turn-up". The patrons on this trip were middle-aged folks with a sprinkling of senior citizens. We were not opposed to listening to music but the volume was just way to loud for such an enclosed space. We spoke to Shawn and the Matron, I think her name is Vanessa. She claims that she spoke to Shawn about the music but obviously it did no good. I think Shawn feels that because he is on the road he can behave in a manner that is unprofessional. Also, because many people don't write letters of complaint he seems to feel that he can behave anyway that he pleases while on the job and there will be no consequences. If you are planning a trip through this company please ask them not to send Shawn as a driver.
With many artist to choose from & various events that's Soul Nation host, you'll be sure to have a GREAT time! So gather all your friends, family& extended party people& contact Soul Nation& join in on the fun for a day, a night or the weekend. I have been apart of their festivities for the last 5 years here& there & the events that I have attended were very memorable. Thanks Soul Nation (formerly Eastern Light Getaways)
