Missed as many days as my professor drops my grade to a B+, we missed 4 days together. this school doesn't get it

My home school is Penn State Abington, and I decided to take some summer classes here a couple months ago. The reason being is because it would be cheaper, and they would transfer directly into my home institution so I could graduate faster. Well, once upon a time I used to go to community college of Philadelphia. Not for long because I dropped out to work and travel, you know, take a gap year, live and figure out my life, mature and grow up. But when I came back, the people at CCP were very much so judging and unhelpful. I see now, no matter what community college you go to, it's all the same. I have yet to meet another school with people that are as caring and kind as those at Penn State Abington. Although the facilities and parking are great, and the teachers are too, the people who sit in the offices are just as crappy as the ones at CCP. It makes me wonder if they have a brain? I recently received the most hilarious letter ever! That my financial account is deactivated because I didn't supplement them some kind of paperwork, when that wasn't mandatory because I was a GUEST STUDENT. And well, that if I didn't pay them what I "owe" they would take legal action against me. The reason I put owe in quotations and ask whether they have a brain or not is because I paid for my classes in straight up cash, IN FULL, before classes even started for the summer! I have receipts to prove it, and get this, at the bottom of the letter it said, "as of the time of this letter your current balance that you owe is $0.00." See my point? Why even send it? Do you guys have a brain? Maybe you guys need a turnover some of those workers and give them to students who graduated and actually want and need the job. They'll probably won't be as lazy as some of these folks to actually read what is being sent before it is sent out. I've never had so many problems, and never had my questions answers, and so much dodging in my life... oh wait, I did, it was at another Community College. Needless to say, besides some of the workers, it is a beautiful campus.

4 community colleges out of 5

Isn't a 5 star college but very impressive for a community college. Buildings keep getting renovated which is very nice to see and know that the college is moving forward. Staff is friendly and nice, in my experience with college I haven't had a single problem with college rather than my own, or with students that just trash the place. Starting with spitters next to benches between main buildings and ending with "cool guys" who pot out cigarettes on"No Smoking" signs. I can easily disagree with the review saying that the college don't put you on the path of success for first two years. Its not a school for teachers to baby you around and tell you what to do. You attend a college so take care of yourself and stop blaming everything else, I chose all my classes for myself and didn't have a single problem with my success. If you don't know what college to attend after school, Bucks would be one of the best budget ways for you to go. Classes don't cost that much and if you have FAFSA you will be golden.

As the mom of a college student who had to leave a private, out of state institution for medical reasons, I came into contact with BCCC when my son was ready to obtain further credits.

Amazing college, great profs, great price. Lots of locations. Worst website ever created though. Besides that no complaints!

The administration was so very helpful, from applying for appropriate courses, to registering and payment. My son has not yet graduated, but the experience at the local community college was excellent.

Finally, I am a sunset photographer. The high hill on the campus overlooking the baseball field just off Swamp Road is a very nice vista for sunset shots!!

BCCC also has programs in which high school students with special skills or talents can participate in college level work. Both the high school and BCCC were extremely helpful in this regard. High school credits were obtained with no tuition payment.
